The opening of the photography exhibition "PARENTHOODS"
On Sunday 12 May 2024 the opening of the big exhibition of the Agrinio Photography Festival Photopolis took place!
The opening was chosen to take place on this day in honor of Mother, since May 12th has been designated as International Mother’s Day. The venue of the exhibition, the Christos Kapralos Museum, was the most appropriate given that Christos Kapralos is one of the few New Greek artists who dealt specifically with a particular aspect of parenthood, motherhood, so systematically and to such an extent. In this space, 105 photographers from 24 countries present 171 photographs showing the aspects of parenthood and interpreting with their lens what this simple yet complex concept means to them.
The presence of a large number of visitors as well as participants from various regions of Greece is a very encouraging sign for the festival.
The reactions and reviews from visitors and participants of the exhibition have been extremely positive and encouraging.
The fact that the exhibition attracts such a wide audience from different parts of the country is testimony to its significant value and the interest it generates. The variety of images and the different stories highlighted through them add richness and depth to the exhibition.
The festival would like to thank the visitors who contributed to the success of this event, as well as all the photographers who shared their images.
