Sort films awards 2024
The Photopolis Short Film Festival, which took place on Saturday 14 and Sunday 15 September 2024 in Agrinio, was a great success.
The 16 Finalists (out of 519 submitted) selected by the qualifying committee (Nontas Sarlis, Konstantinos Ioakeimidis and Zephy Ros) were screened.
The two-day event was attended by directors George Stagakis (On the Hill), Thanasis Protatos (WHISTLE), Mary Kolonia (The Armchair on the Sidewalk), Kazuya Isobe (Japan) (Islam: We walk with you), producer Oksana Ivanyuk (Ukraine) (Big Small War) and editor Dimitris Vatsios.
Alexandra Karakosta presented the films and the whole event.
At the end of the second night two prizes were awarded to two films selected by the Awards Committee (Christina Balaska, Dimitris Kourtis, Christos Maglinis).
THE AWARDS
The film “BIg Small War” by Myroslav Latyk from Ukraine, received the award for best photography, which was awarded by Mrs. Maria Papageorgiou, as a representative of the municipality of Agrinio and received by the producer of the film Oksana Ivanyuk, who travelled from the war-torn Ukraine by road to Greece.
The best film award was given to the film “The Armchair on the Sidewalk”. The director of the film Mary Kolonia and the editor of the film Dimitris Vatsios, received the award from the Director of the festival Panos Kaltsas.
