Contest terms
Photopolis Agrinio Photo Festival invites photographers to apply for its exhibition «Photofolios:26».
Submission Deadline: 10 December 2025
Photographers are asked to submit 8 – 15 photographs from a particular project/series or body of work.
The selected eight(8) portfolios will be exhibited at the main events of the Festival.
The theme has been left open.
Participation fee:
For one project: €20. For each additional project: €10.
Submissions must be photographic and they might also make use also of texts, graphic.
The selected photographs will be destroyed after their exhibition at the festival.
Photos may be used to promote the festival, in any case, the name of the photographer will be mentioned.
Copyrights of the selected photographs belong exclusively to the photographers.
The selection of the photography series will be based on the following characteristics: The coherence of the pictures as a united whole in terms of form and content, and the conceptual and/or aesthetic quality of the photos.
The decision of the Jury will be final.
Selected photographers must provide (send) high resolution files for printed production.
Winners will be announced on the homepage of the Photopolis Agrinio Photo Festival and contacted by e-mail.
Submission instructions
Before sending the files, you must pay the participation fee HERE.
Please send your entry via WeTransfer or another cloud service, including the deposit receipt, to the following address:: portfolio@photopolis.gr (Within 48 hours of receipt, we will send you an email confirming receipt of the files. If you do not receive it, please notify us at info@photopolis.gr).
Place the photos in a folder. The folder must be named with your last name. Each photo must be named in English characters as follows: SURNAME_NAME_01 etc. (example: IOANNOU_GEORGΕ_01).
Photo format: jpg, long side size 1500 px.
A Word or PDF document (up to 200 words) must accompany the series, describing your work in English (and for Greeks, in Greek). In addition, your full name, telephone number, city, email, social media, and a short biography must be included and proof of payment.x
Biography
Eleni Mouzakiti
Photographer, Curator
Eleni Mouzakiti is a visual artist, educator and curator of photographic exhibitions and publications.
She studied German Language and Literature at the University of Athens, FU Berlin and Ruprecht-Karl University of Heidelberg.
She holds an MA in Image and Communication from Goldsmiths College, University of London and a PhD in Photography as an Art Practice from Derby University, UK.
Her photographic work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions and festivals internationally. Her works belong to the collection of the Portland Museum of Art, Oregon, USA, the Museum of Photography of Thessaloniki, the State Museum of Contemporary Art, the ACG Art Collection and other private collections.
Eleni has designed and taught the course of Photography Practice Theory and History at the Department of Fine Arts (Ioannina University), the Hellenic Center for Photography, the Athens School of Fine Arts (adult education program in photography) and in the postgraduate program – MA in Photography and Visual Language – of AKTO / Middlesex University, UK.
She has curated numerous photography exhibitions and publications and is a founding member of The Provinces, a platform that collects and promotes photographic projects that deal with the Greek periphery.
Committed to long- term projects in her artistic work she focuses on issues of ‘absorptive’ behavior in the public realm, leisure time geography, landscape as a fantasy of “belonging”.
