The meteorological event known as ”Daniel” was an extreme weather phenomenon characterized by heavy rainfall, traced back to the 4th of September 2023, originating from the Ionian Sea, with the wider area of Thessaly as its epicenter. The tempest wrought catastrophic consequences, claiming 17 lives and decimating 850,000 hectares of cultivable terrain, while over 100 thousand livestock perished.

A psychological thriller, this short film explores with intensity the little-known suffering of company directors in the face of professional and social pressures. Through this work, which tackles universal issues such as self-esteem and resilience in the face of hardship, Gilles Laborde explores new ways of telling stories today, in the hope of transforming outlooks and inspiring change.

Vakirtzis the Marquee Master of Attikon Cinema.
A look at the course of George Vakirtzis' work when he was painting the windows of the Attikon Cinema on Stadiou Street. A cinema that has been ''under construction'' since the catastrophic fire in February 2012. The film features talks by Marios Chondrogiannis painter, Christos Margaritis, writer, collector, historian and Antonios Vogiatzis, president of the Museum of the City of Athens.

When an imposed quarantine adds more pressure to her family, a strict yet caring wife must confront head-on her emotionally withdrawn husband before their relationship loses its way.

KAPPA
In the fake world of stardom, actor ‘KAPPA’ portrays a loving person and father figure when he plays the starring role in a lighthearted TV sit-com and when he presents himself in the media. His fake identity is juxtaposed with his true self: an egomaniac who constantly neglects his family and is possessed by sexual and perverse desires. His fake persona is finally revealed in a nightmarish scenario that brings a domino effect of painful self-realization.

Emma Goldman is called in the middle of the night to help deliver a baby in a poor Jewish family of Brooklyn, with many mouths to feed. She tries to alleviate the suffering of the woman in labour. Back home, she is confronted by her partner Ed, exhausted by her absences. Forced to choose between her love for him and her activism, she writes the influential speech “The Tragedy of Female Emancipation” (1906).

On a Monday morning, 29-year-old Julien has an appointment in a shopping mall. Later, his fiancée calls him, frightened: there’s been a major accident on the road he’s taken, with several deaths. Back home, they listen to the news. Julien is shocked to think that, just a few minutes later, it could have been him…

INCOMMENSURABLE
During a winter’s night, Triskaïa, a sixty-three year old mother and archeologist, is seating at the dinner table of her family home. She is looking fondly at her husband, Plasky. The spouses are about to have dinner surrounded by their five daughters. Despite the distance separating them, Plasky is sending coded messages through to Triskaïa.

A couple’s night out is interrupted by a man in a parking lot, who challenges their perceptions on modern-day masculinity.
