The Photopolis Agrinio Photo Festival 2025 was a huge success, attracting more than 4,000 visitors to all of its events. From October 11 to 20, Agrinio was transformed into an open-air photography gallery, with 240 photographs by 78 photographers from 48 countries, which were displayed in iconic locations around the city: the Old Municipal Market, the Kapralos Museum, the Papastrateio Hall, the Gallery Taxidevousa, and the Central Square.

On Saturday, October 11, prior to the opening, Portfolio Reviews were held by Chaz Niell, Lila Zotos, and Vangelis Evangeliou, giving young photographers the opportunity to present their work and receive creative feedback.
The opening took place that same evening at the Old Municipal Market, followed the next day by a tour of the exhibition spaces with Hossein Farmani, founder of the Lucie Awards and IPA.

Alain Schroeder’s exhibition in the Central Square, the presentations by Chaz Niell — award-winning photographer at IPA 2024 — and Haris Deligiannis, as well as the moving documentary “Anefeli” by Vangelis Evangelios, stood out for their content and the warm response of the audience.

On October 18 and 19, 15 short films were presented, with the following awards:

Best Film: “Le fait divers” – Charles Cabon (France) & “Cactus in Need” – Giorgos Delis (Greece)

Cinematography Award: “Incommensurable” – Fanny Skura (France)

Screenplay Award: “Le fait divers” – Charles Cabon (France)

The audience applauded all the creators, confirming that Photopolis remains a vibrant institution that highlights the power of images to connect and inspire.
