HOME-S
Photo Exhibition
Art Gallery Christos Kapralos, Agrinio
Opening: Saturday, April 18, 2026, 19:00
What does “home” mean? Is it a place, a memory, a body, or a continuous search?
The group photography exhibition “HOME-S” brings together 212 photographers from 38 countries who, through diverse cultural and experiential perspectives, approach the notion of home as an open and multifaceted condition. Their images move between the familiar and the unfamiliar, presence and absence, belonging and displacement.
Here, “home” is not confined to a physical space. It emerges as landscape and trace, as relationship and absence, as care but also as rupture. Through domestic environments, everyday gestures, communities, rituals, and transitional landscapes, the artists map personal and collective experiences in which the idea of inhabiting a place is constantly renegotiated.
In a world characterized by fragile balances, “HOME-S” functions as a space of encounter: a place where the gaze becomes a carrier of memory and, at the same time, a tool for understanding the other.
The exhibition is part of the pre-festival program of the Photopolis Agrinio Photo Festival and is held under the auspices of the Municipality of Agrinio.
